Snowfall warning issued for Banff, Pincher Creek and Kananaskis

Up to 25 centimetres expected in some areas in southwestern Alberta
This was the winter wonderland scene near Pincher Creek after snow fell in the nearby mountains on Monday. More snow is expected over the next 24 hours. (Submitted by Jayna Adair) While wildfires continue to rage in northern Alberta, a low-pressure system from B.C. is expected to bring a dump of snow in southwest areas of the province.

(Submitted by Jayna Adair) "[Roughly] 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected before the snow tapers off Thursday evening." Snowfall warnings have been issued in the following areas: There is also a chance of snow in the forecast for Calgary. "Snow becoming mixed with rain late in the morning and ending near noon, then cloudy," said Environment Canada, adding there could be up to four centimetres by the end.
